Probably flag is an symbolic indication of a particular country. Indian flag was designed by Pingali venkaiah garu, which termed as tiranga janda. this includes three colours saffran, white, and green with an wheel in the middle strip. the top strip colour saffran indicates the strength and courage of the country, the midle strip white colour indicates the peace and truth of our nation. and the bottom strip green colour indicates fertility,growth and greenary of the nation.
EVOLUTION:
the national flag of india has undergone several changesto finalise from the first interception. it was designed during our national struggle for freedom. in one way it reflects the political developments in the nation. the historical evolution of this pride as follows
The first national flag is said to have been hoisted on august 7, 1906, in the parsee bagan square(green park) in kolkatta. this was composed of red,yellow and green
The second flag was hoisted in paris by madame cama in 1907 .this was similar to the first except the top strip had a one lotus but seven stars which denotes the saptharihi. thia also exhibited at a socialist conference in berlin.
the third flag was designed in 1917 when our political struggle had taken a turn. Dr. annie besant and lokmanya tilak hoisted it during the home rule movement
later on in 1921 durin the all india congress committee which met at bezwada. a andhra youth prepared a flag and take it to the gandhiji which was designed with wo colours only. the red and green representing the major communities i.e. hindus and muslims. mahatma suggested to add a strip for denoting all other communities also and a spinning wheel to symbolise the progress of the country.
the year 1931 was a landmark of this evolutio of flag. a revolution adopting tricolor flag as our national flag was passed. ths flag wasof tri coloured of sffran white and green having spinning wheel in the middle strip
finally on july 22,1947,the constituent assenbly adopted it as national flag. after the getting of independance ,the colour and significance remained the same and introduced dharma chakra
